Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
This policy explains what personal data SJ Media collects through this website, why we collect it and what your rights are. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Who we are
SJ Media is a Portuguese digital agency building websites, social media and digital advertising. For anything related to your personal data, contact us at [email protected] or +351 931 068 556.
What data we collect
Contact form, email or phone: when you contact us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our inbox by email from our web server; they are not stored in a database on this website.
Technical data: like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting.
Language preference: your choice of English or Portuguese is stored in your browser's local storage, on your device only. It is never sent to us.
Usage statistics, only if you accept: with your consent, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type, how you arrived). It is used in aggregate to understand and improve the site.
Why we use it
We use contact information exclusively to reply to you and, if we start working together, to prepare and deliver our services. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering your request and, later, the performance of a contract.
We use Google Analytics statistics only to measure and improve the website. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for automated decision-making and we do not send marketing emails without your consent.
Third parties
This site loads the Instrument Sans and Instrument Serif typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser requests those files, Google receives your IP address. You can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Our website is hosted by a hosting provider that processes server logs on our behalf.
Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) is only loaded if you accept analytics cookies. Google acts as our processor and may transfer data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not use advertising trackers or social media pixels.
How long we keep it
We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected].
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the CNPD (Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados), at cnpd.pt.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the date at the top.
